Breakout Kinect is a prototype I developed while working at The Atom Group. It was developed as an alternative or additional option in the same package as Banco Blaster and Flappy Kinect.

What I did…

  • Developed body tracking, game match/high score systems, and randomization of level elements
  • Produced and implemented all sound effects

The Kinect tracks the velocity of the torso joint to move the paddle back and forth. We added special block types that can spawn additional balls, or shuffle the position of all existing blocks.
